Ok, so I'm new here but I have been looking at LHCF for a couple years now. I have VERY fragile hair and everytime I feel like my hair needs some "fixin" I come here to get lil motivation;)

Anyhow, I'm at that stage again. My hair is DOGGED...horrible. My hair looks like a tumbleweed and a brillo pad made love and had a baby on my head.

Now, I have heard of cowashing and actually tried it a couple of times when my hair was natural, but it did absolutley nothing for my hair (I later learned it was because every strand was literally in shreds).

So I was wondering could anyone tell me what their fav cowash product is? I think I have 4A-B hair (can't tell never seen my natural hair healthy) and it is relaxed.

MY FIRST POST!

Welcome! I have 4B relaxed hair and co-wash fairly often, but not necessarily routinely -- I don't really have a "routine" anymore, I just give my hair what it seems to need which is different from week to week.

My favorite co-wash condish is Roux Porosity Control -- its silicone free, protein free, light, moisturizing and leaves my hair soft, smooth and clean. I apply to dry hair, cover with plastic cap and leave on for as long as I have time, but at least 5 minutes and up to 2 hours, rinse thoroughly, apply leave-in, oil and either rollerset or bun and air dry. I haven't used heat in over 4 years now. . .

I'm sure you're gonna get A LOT of suggestions so enjoy the board!

Welcome, Welcome . . .

Thanks neroli I think I've used this product before when I was a wee lil thing...if this is the same product I am talking about, it's absolutely brilliant, but they don't seem to be selling it around here anymore. Now that I've got the name though, I'm going to scour the net until I find some.

Thanks for mentioning it!

HI :) I have a smorgasborg (however you spell it) of poos and condishs but for my cowashing i favor the suave milk and honey. Sometimes I'll mix a little of something else in it too to make sure it's good and soft.

:lachen: awww...:(

My favorite is Robert Craig Conditioner. It's very moisturizing and detangles -- in just 3 minutes. (from RobertCraig.com)

My second favorite is Nutri-Protect Conditioner by Nutri-Ox (sold by Sally's)
