I have been doing it for several weeks now. I am currently using peppermint oil instead of rosemary oil.
1st because it is on sales
2nd becuase you can feel it tingly hours after you first apply it unlike rosemary oil

I have heard others say not to do this, howere I don't know why and I am enjoying the results.

What do you think?

Ususally eo's are too potent to be used by themselves. Its recommended to mix them with a carrier oil. Sometimes they can cause an allergic reaction if they are too strong, when otherwise you could use them safely.

What are your results? Have you noticed new growth?

I use peppermint oil mixed in my MTG and conditioners...as well as other essential oils.
In my case, I tested them on my arm first...found out I'm allergic to tea tree the hard way.
Imagine if I had put something like that on my scalp first, without diluting it...my head would have been in big trouble.
And some of the oils are just too strong to put on your skin straight. I would not reccomend it.
