I bought L'Oreal Color Pulse in Electric Black today. This is a pic from 2004 so you can get an idea of what my color is:

I'm nervous because I've never put a rinse in my hair before. I really am only looking for a temporary change, so I hope that this doesn't stick around for a long time. Any tips before I take the big plunge?

Hey Cam!

Generally black rinses are the hardest to rinse out so be careful. If you want a dark color that has a better chance of rinsing out get a dark brown, it will more than likely turn your hair black.

Suggestions:

-Get gloves. Different rinses have different staying power- dont take any chances. I was walking around with black fingertips for about 2 weeks one time

- Deep condition with a moisturizing condition after.

-Try not to apply it so close to your scalp or it will stain. It will wash out but it kinda messes up the whole look.

-For a uniform application I like to part my hair starting at the nape and work up.

-Also if you have a relaxer brush thats good too, especially for your edges.

Thats all for now..

Hey pinky

Thanks for the tips...I think I'm just going to do it. I don't feel like going out to get a lighter color, and plus, I'm a risk taker...haha. We'll see how it goes! :)
