Do you straighten your 4b natural hair once a week or every 2 weeks?

Do you retain length?

If you answered yes to both of these questions, I need to know:

what type of deep protein conditioner you are using?

what heat protector?

What anti reversion serum or technique do you use?

Help a LHCF sister out, please:yep:

I'm not trying to be funny. The reason why I specifically am requesting 4b hair is because thats the type of hair I have and have found that what other naturals ( 3a,b,c) do and use, I can't ( ie rollersetting).

Aveda Damage Remedy IRT:grin:

You may also want to try Aveda's Shampure shampoo and conditioner. It's the cheapest in the line but it is the best for my hair (I have 4a, but, close enough!) It has proteins in both and moisturizes so I don't need to follow up with a moisturizing DC. I loose a lot less hair with this stuff, thus keeping my length.

@bolded, that will save money too!

I flatiron every 1-2 weeks depending on the weather and i used PM's straightworks line (with the lime green label). it includes a heat protectant and 2 serums. i don't use the poo and cond anymore b/c they're drying...and protein is NOT my friend, i try to avoid protein-heavy products at all costs. i retain my length by keeping my hair moist moist moist!...or else it starts breaking off and shedding all over the place.

How do you keep a press and keep your hair moist?
