Protein and Rinse?

Do you think it's okay to do a rinse and a protein treatment in the same night? I haven't had a protein treatment in a while (at least 3 months), and I am going on vacation for 2 weeks. So, I thought it would be a good idea to do one before leaving. I'm doing a dark brown rinse because some old highlights are trying to peek through. :)

If I do both tonight, in what order should I do it? I plan to use the ORS replenish pack after the protein.

What do you think? TIA!!!

I wouldn't do a protein treatment and a rinse on the same day...most rinses contain some sort of protein in them...which can make the hair a little hard and dry...what brand of rinse are you planning on using?...if you are going to do a protein treatment or a rinse...always follow up with a good deep moisturizing conditioner...but don't do both on the same day.

I'd say no to doing them on the same night. If you did, I don't know what order would be best...
I read somewhere that protein treatments strip out colour, so that rules out 'rinse then protein'.
On the other hand, maybe the colour wouldn't be able to penetrate hair that had just had a protein treatment, so that rules out 'protein then rinse'!

I would suggest doing the rinse now, if the highlights are likely to annoy you during your holiday, and do the protein treatment when you get back.

Thanks, ladies! I also thought that maybe the rinse had a little protein since they tend to make your hair hard afterwards. I think I'll just do the rinse for now and save the protein for later.
