Brockstar's post reminded me to update my progress pics. I am now 100% natural too. First pic is from May 07 when I did my post-transition chop, second is Aug 07, third is Jan 08, fourth and fifth are wet and dry today.

:yep:Wow, very pretty! great progress!:yep: if my hair looked like this I would go natural in a heartbeat!

Wow!! Fantastic progress. You have beautiful hair. You certainly have come a long way in just a year. Do you have a Fotki?

egg200,

Looks like you went from around chin length to possibly past bra strap length in 13 mos! It would have taken my hair 2 1/2 years to grow this long!!

I would love to have inherited whatever gene your ancestors had that contributed to growth like that:yep:, but I'll settle for your regimen!! :prettyplease:
What are you using???

what products do u use?!

greattt progress by the way!

OMGoodness! Your hair is lovely! Awesome progress!

you're hair looks a cagillion times better - healthier! Good job and congratulations :yep:

Thanks for all of the compliments! My hair is infinitely more healthy since I stopped texlaxing. I was probably not treating my texlaxed hair properly based on the great results I have seen other LHCF members have with texlaxing, but my hair wasn't happy.

When I was transitioning I rotated between Nioxin and Biotin for the first few months, but I haven't used any supplements other than my GNC multivitamin for a long time now. I co-wash almost every single day. I know some naturals have great second and third day hair, but I just re-wet it and start over. When I get out of the shower I apply Salerm leave in and then usually Kinky Curly Curling Custard. I used BBD Glass for a while and liked that- I was using it at the time of the January pics, but when I ran out I got the KCCC and liked it so I have stuck with that. I am thinking about ordering another jar of BBD Glass to try it again because if you aren't careful with the amount of KCCC you use, it dries really crunchy. Hope that helps anyone who is transitioning or natural.
