Which products do you find that are extremely moisturizing for the hair for daily maintenance, very light and can help combat summer frizzes? Are there any products that contain SPF for the hair? Is this a good idea? We need SPF for the skin, so why not the hair?

This is what I use between shampoos: jojoba oil, avocado oil, and Profectiv Break-Free. Occassionally, I also like to use Wave Nouveau Finishing Lotion.

I am loving L'oreal Intense anti-frizz serum. I mixed it with a little of my shea/oil pomade(shea butter is a natural sunscreen)this morniing in my palms and applied it through my hair(sparingly)and my hair is not even frizzing..not even a little. Plus it looks shiney and feels moisturized.

I was having a terrible time trying to figure out why my hair kept getting so frizzed up in May & June then I realized the culprit was Aveda Humectent pomade. I had been using it all winter with great results but once it got warmer it promoted frizz. Although it's great in cool weather, it does attract moisture which can lead to frizzies in more humid temps.
I ditched that for the summer and went back to using Ion Vitalizing Hair wax which is a light, water-based pomade. I mix it with a moisturizing cream like CDHHB or Mango Butter
and use it to style wet hair(did this before I got braids last week).
It keeps my hair very soft unlike gels, but creates a nice hold for braid-outs or in my case pony-tail outs (too lazy to braid) without frizzing. SPF is very important for protecting our skin but I'm skeptical about whether it's needed for the hair. A marketing ploy IMO.
