Products used to flat twists without reverting

Hey ladies,
What products do you recommend for flat twisting hair without causing it to revert? I recently got my hair flat twisted, but the stylist used a mousse and some type of spray that completely reverted my blowout.
On IG, I’ve seen people use the Congo Twist & Define Pudding (see pic). So you agree? Any other recommendations?

I’m determined to do some twists on my own hair tomorrow—even if it takes me hours just to complete four! This is a growth goal for the year.

I don't have suggestion for products but I have found a mousse or cream or gel works fine if you minimize the product and start 2 inches from the roots. Perhaps she just used too much.

Way too much. She pours directly on the hair, and the hair melts and tightens up right away. Going against the whole point of why I blow-dry before going to style because I’m tender headed.
