There have been threads on this one before but I finally sucked out my wallet to extract the $26 for this baby and it was so worth it. I clarified my hair before using it to insure that I would get the maximal benefits. I applied it to my hair post wash, after applying Jamaican Black Castor oil to my scalp. I didn't need much and I applied from roots to ends. I put a plastic cap then a hot towel and then another plastic cap to trap the heat and steam to allow for penetration. I let it stay for 30 minutes and rinsed it out. My hair was tangle free smooth, soft and conditioned with slip. I wet wrapped my hair with Keracare foam wrap lotion. I did not see breakage and few hair at all came out. I unwrapped my hair this morning and it was soft, with that swang. I used my steam rollers and wrapped and my hair is the softest it has ever been. This is a keeper for sure:)

Glad to hear about your great results! I tried a sample of this a while back and it did not shoot off any fireworks for me. But, that little tube was so small I don't think it really gave the products a fair chance.

OT - So you oil your scalp after washing and before conditioning? That's very interesting. I would love to do something like that, but my hair gets kinda tangly when it is wet.

What I usually do is apply the oil to the scalp then the conditioner right along after it so its like 2 treatments. My scalp is dry and the Jamaican black castor oil keeps my scalp in check.:)

That sounds like a good idea for me because my scalp feels itchy when I apply things to it at other times.

I am glad to hear that it works for you.

I am an Aveda fanatic, hair, face, and body!!! I have even turned my husband on to Aveda!!

The entire Damage Remedy Line has stopped my shedding. For the last 5 months I have had the worst shedding with no end in sight. I clarified my hair with the detox shampoo, Used the sap moss concentrate under a dry for 30 minutes, washed with DR shampoo, Deep Conditioned with DR Conditioner. When I went to detangle my hair I had a little over 15 hairs ( hadnt combed my hair in 5 days) come out!!!!! I was so happy. My hair is strong, yet moisturized. I have put down the KeraCare and fell in love with Aveda.

Congratulations on your results. Your hair looks very pretty in your avatar. I started using the Aveda DR intensive back in november due to heat damage from the hot comb and now I have almost no breakage when I detangle and press my hair.:)

LOVE LOVE LOVE Aveda DR! Glad to hear you liked it too!
