I've recently begun experience some breakage. It's such a disappointment because since I started really taking care this mane, it was really going beautifully. I am airdrying right now after an AphOGEE treatment. I am wondering if anything I've done recently may be to cause. Let me know what you think is the culprit. In the last few days, I

--dried my hair overnight. I had to workout really late and couldn't keep my eyes open after the shampoo and conditioning. I put on my regular cap and went to bed. Very frizzy in the morning. Put on some kiehls creme and oil (usual for me), scrunchie and go.

--added L-Cysteine and MSM to my routine of Biotin (3mg/day) and Hair, Skin, and Nails. (Can you do all these together?)

--Because I normally just pull my hair back into a scrunchie or bump under my ends, I have actually been using a lot less heat than normal. Usually after an airdry, I moisturize, flat iron, oil, and curl.

--your raves about CON made me switch from AphOGEE shampoo for damaged hair. Love it, was working wonderfully (today I used the AphOGEE shampoo, treatment, and balancing moisturizer.)

So what happened? Does hair just do that every now and then? I considered just doing a clarify. I have Pantene, and see that it has ALS. I don't really understand why clarifying is necessary. If you wash your hair twice a week, isn't your scalp clean enough? Yes, the kiehl's is heavy and then the oils, but I always felt I was getting it all out. I used to have visible buildup, but that is a thing of the past. Haven't seen it since I really started TCBing my hair in the past couple months. This is a disheartening setback.

You may be just going through a shedding season. I think I am also. Are you seeing long, complete strands or short broken strands?

Yes! They are long strands, which really upset me. I didn't think of shedding. I thought I was doing something wrong. How long does this last? What can I do to minimize the damage?

You're doing nothing wrong. I went through that for a few months(5). Until now I don't really know what caused mine. I got tired of seeing the long strands coming out just by running my fingers through my hair. My crown and temples were see through. I did the BIG CHOP CHOP! My hair has now bounced back and healthy again. (No more see throughs) But shedding do come from stress, not eating right, crash diets, illness and the list goes on. DeQuendre do not blame yourself. It sounds like you're doing everything right. Just be patient and keep taking care of yourself and PLEASE do not stress yourself. It will eventually stop by itself.

Here's another one. Are you leaving your conditioners in too long maybe. This will cause you to see some long hairs coming out.

I noticed my hair shedding excessively while on birth control pills. I threw them bad boys out. I was on them for my skin.

Damn, what do I choice do i have. Beautiful skin or Beautiful hair!
