If a product is 50% coconut oil but 50% mineral oil, is the goodness of the coconut oil canceled out by the badness of the mineral oil?

I would think so, the Mineral Oil may make it hard for the Coconut Oil to do the job that it is intended to do.

I had some of that with mineral oil. I use it on the soles of my feet now, covered by white sock at bed time. Get the pure stuff- its in some grocery stores with the cooking/specialty oils.

Oh, I wasn't planning on using it on my hair, just musing because I thought it was a weird combination. But using it on feet actually sounds like a good way to get rid of it, too - thanks, Pandora1975. :)
