So how come some peoples hair doesnt grow when they're pregnant?

Probably because they abuse it with hair dyes and too strong/frequent relaxers etc.
Oh, I'm looking forward to the day when I'm pregnant. Maybe that will finally bring me to hip length :)

ok i was thinking bout prenatals so ill just stick to my regular multivitamin. and i'm definitely not getting pregnant.lol

ok one more question: so if the hormones make the hair grow do you lose all the hair after the baby is born. i know some women have post pardum shedding but do you lose ALL of it?

I'm currently pregnant and I have not noticed an increase in my growth either. I was wondering about that. Everyone keeps telling me that my hair is going to grow even more now, but my hair is still growing like it always does.

congrats! maybe it depends on how far along you are?

I think it' a mixage of hormones and vits. I'm pregnant and my hair is defenitely growing alot more faster then usual..

O

Hello, I haven't posted in a long time, but i am currently 6 months pregnant and have noticed my hair growning in faster than normal (when ever i take my hair down from a sew in) so now i am currently right at shoulder length overall with shorter layers right about chin length, where i had cut it short back in April, i have to agree that overall i think my hormones have caused that as well as my skin to clear up very well, but i do currently take Freeda Prenatals and Biotin 2.5mg which probably also contribute.

I think it's a mixture of both. I'm getting great growth right now, and I'm taking my vitamins faithfully. With my daughter, I was very sporadic with my vitamins, and I don't remember having this much growth, but I definitely remember increased thickness.

My cousin's hair grew extremely fast during her pregnancies. She had shedding but the length remained (she kicked out 2 in 23 months). She went from not even close to shoulder length to bsl within that period.
