I mean those who took 1 pill a day of the 1000mcg.
Did u experience growth?
I ask this because I have a headache today after taking 3 pills. It is the first time I have ever used it.

I am not sure if that caused the headache but I will lower my dosage if that is what caused it.

Hi Katie!

I think you'll find that the majority of the PP Biotin users here, myself included, take a total of 5 pills a day for a total dosage of 5000 mcg. I haven't had any side effects from the biotin and don't remember people posting that they suffered side effects, unlike MSM which made many of us break out with pimples. Could there be anything else to which you can attribute your headache? If you have ruled everything out, maybe you can start slowly with one or two pills a day, then work your way back up to three (if you want to stop there) or even five. I noticed that I get a good amount of new growth from PP Biotin, and I have tried other brands before that didn't produce any noticeable growth. Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide!

Hey nooniecakes! Don't let the GNC brand fool you. I took the 500mcg with other vits for nearly a 2 Months to no effect! I had to dash those bad bwoys out.

To answer ur question I really doubt the 300 mcg pill is nearly enough to get the growth ppl are talking about. Biotin is a B Vit which works best in quantities of about 1000-2000 mcg (some suggest higher--I take 5000mcg) AND as well when taking with other B-Vitamins (I take a B-Vitamin complex). I suggest u get on the Puritan's Pride Biotion bandwagon like myself LOL.

Here's what I started taking 2 days ago; I'll post results in 1-2 mths:

1 x 2 GNC Mega-Multi Vitamin
1 X 1 GNC Ultra Nourishair
5 x 1000 mcg Puritans Pride Biotin (they're VERY small!)
1 x 500 mcg PP MSM
1 x 50 mg PP B-Vitamin Complex
1 x 2 MEN"S nourishair LoL; I take it for the Amino acid only

I'm about to start Evening Primrose Oil and Flaxseed oil.

Thanks Kengne, but few more questions where did you find the putitans pride biotin and msm? Is the msm single or is it with the glucosime in it?

Since it is your first time, I do think that was the cause of the headache.

Generally, for most supplements, it is best to do your research on the proper dosage depending on your purpose.

Clinically speaking for nail growth alone, a dosage of 2500mcg (2.5mg) of biotin is recommended. That's a basic standard to see extra growth, stronger nails.

I would suggest that you divide your dosage for the present and then perhaps at a later time consider doing the total amount in the am or pm. You can manipulate biotin and its effects in a variety of ways on an individual basis.

I tried the biotin again and I didnt get a headache so I guess my headache was caused by other factors.I am also starting MSM..
This MSM(Kaire brand) is good..
My mom had previously given me a bottle with only 40 left (rest was used by my cousin)and I remember getting good growth by the time it was done.
So I guess Iwill see how the biotin and MSM go
