Porosity Control

Hi Blue! I rinse well and wash once with neutralizing poo. Then I apply the PC conditioner and let is sit for about 5-10 minutes. Then I continue with a couple more neutralizing poos. I follow that up with a deep conditioner. Adding the PC in between poos has completely turned around my massive hair loss after relaxing. ;)

Oh wow thanks you so much, every one has such different ways of using this, I cant wait to try it. I ve been in braids for 5 months now and I cant wait to relax.

I used it to protect my already relaxed hair. I mix porosity control, Chi Silk Infusion (makes it less runny and wet and silk proteins supposedly protect the hair durin the relaxing process) and corn germ oil togther and apply it to the length of my hair to provent overprocessing. I relaxed lthis way last night and it turned out quite well, I didn't even end up clipping any raggedy ends, 'cause I saw nothing to clip!:D

I'm going to try this method when I relax, it sounds like my hair would like a PC step in between poos. Sounds like it really gives the hair time to get neutralized. I was worried about letting the shampoo sit because it seems like that would dry the hair out unnecessarily. Thank you so much for the tip!

I use it after all chemical services. I do the process (sometimes relax, sometimes color), rinse, apply PC for 5 minutes and the neutralize or deep condition.

I use it before and after I relax, sometimes I put it in my deep conditioners, and I use it as my final conditioner after I deep condition if I didn't put it in my deep conditioner.

Soho thanks so much for posting this! I will try this combo the next time I get a relaxer.

I use PC , specifially to protect previously relaxed hair and after rinsing the relaxer out before I wash. (I now use an ACV mix during the after the rinse out phase)

I still do like it for use after the gym (though It does smell kinda ew.) it works to keep my hair from getting tangled.

I've never used it before or after chemical services, but I keep hearing thats a good way to use it. Personally, I don't think it's all that on it's own but if I mix a little with any ho hum deep conditioner it makes it work soo much better. I love it. I use it once a week. Does anyone know how often it's okay to use?

honestly, I followed the directions on the bottle because I was skurred. :look: but it works. I am going to buy more soon.

Can this be used after clarifying or would that be too drying? I usually clarify when I deep condition and I would use this as an in between step.

i used it today after my relaxer. i mixed it with my hair mayo and it went fine. ill wait to see if my hair holds moisture better.
