Hello all!

I would like to know when this should, and shouldn't be used. And does one just use it like a regular conditioner.

Does it have to be used with a heat cap?

Should it NOT be used with a heat cap?

How often?

What results can I expect from using it?

**** I think my hair is very porous, it seems to dry in no time, and the nape area seems to be kind of crispy. ( I believe this is from years of applying relaxer there first, meaning it would be on that part of the hair the longest)

I am wondering how many times I can expect to use this before I achieve optimal porosity levels?

Also my hair is very fine, not sure what that would have to do with this product and how it works, but maybe the more info I give you, the better the feedback I may get from you all?

Please tell me what your experience has been before & after using this....

TIA

Hey Champion!

I would suggest doing a search for porosity control. There are several threads about the topic and I recall there was one recently that had a lot of good info.

I just mix my Porosity(about a Tablespoon or so) in my regular deep conditioner mix, with my added oils, when I feel my hair needs this, which is most of the time...

I put on my plastic cap and sometimes I sit under the dryer too...

I do this sometimes once a week... My hair feels better(I think so:look: )

HTH

Yeh I would liek to know too... I remember the last thread but it didnt contain any procedure steps...

Thanks to all who have responded. :)

I am bumping for more responses though.

My *** is just too confused by all the results that the search yeilds!
(plus I have no idea what I should really be looking for)

check my thread about porosity control, i love it.

When you read the bottle, there are no real instructions for general weekly usage, It's mostly used as a professional repair conditioner in salons. So there are lots of instructions for what to do if you just get a color or a perm, and you need to correct your porosity...

For general weekly usage, I like to mix enough porosity control to cover *dry* hair, then i put Motions CPR on top of that.

I put a shower cap on, and I leave it on for about 4 hours.

If i had a hooded dryer, i'd use that... but for now, it's the good ol shower cap method.

My hair stays soft and generally tangle free for the week.

I do daily condition during the week, so i asses my hair's condition every day.

Deep condition saturday makes my hair happy...

Hi QT :)

If I understand you correctly, you are putting yoru mixture on your dry hair, like a pre-poo treatment?

Or are you applying yoru mixture after a shampoo?

Sorry for the late reply,

Yes, usually i am doing a pre poo treatment, since i don't usually shampoo (i'm on the no-poo method)

but twice a month, i will use shampoo, i'll shampoo first, to make sure i got the week's gunk out of my hair, then i'll spread all the stuff in, and leave it for 4 or 5 hours...
