I have a question.

On the shampoo bottle it says that it's step 2 in the corrective process and the condition says it's step 1. In the directions it also says to follow with the conditioner.

How do you guys use it? I did the shampoo first, then the conditioner but I'm confused as to why it would say that.

I haven't done it that way. I always shampoo first and then apply the conditioner. I know Honeydew uses the shampoo but I haven't tried it yet. I either put the pc on my hair for a minute or so and then deep condition or I mix it with my deep conditioner.

The PC control shampoo is my staple shampoo with or without the conditioner. Actually I don't like the conditioner much. It is too watery and makes my hair feel like it has some kind of coating on it.

But in order to use it up, I have been using it according to the instructions - conditioner 1st and then the shampoo. I then use my regular staple conditioner after that - Mane and Tail original.

After I use all of this PC conditioner up, I don't think I will repurchase because I don't see any major benefits from using it before shampooing. I think the shampoo along with my staple conditioner work well alone.

I know that many people here actually don't use the shampoo, but just use the condtioner for detangling or as a pre-relaxing treament.

I've used the conditioner after I shampoo and before I deep condition. I leave it on for a minute or two, then I rinse and DC. I don't use the Porosity Control shampoo.

I use PC corrector and conditioner after i shampoo ,before I deep condition...then I put it on after I deep condition to detangle before my leave in sometimes

I Deep Condition, rinse, then I put Porosity Control in my hair for about one minute then rinse. I use it to close the cuticle and seal in the moisture from the deep conditioner. It has replaced my apple cider vinegar rinse. It has worked really well and I am so happy with the turnaround my hair has made in the last 4 weeks:)

When I do a chemical service (or henna) I use the conditioner first after rinsing (and nuetralizing for a texlax), then I shampoo. I have also used it the other way around (shampoo then condition).

Don't be afraid to play around with it.

I understood it to mean that the shampoo is supposed to be used after the conditioner when you are doing a chemical treatment.

But if it is part of your regular maintenance rotation, you can use the shampoo first.

I got the shampoo free with the conditioner the other day. This will be my first time using it, but don't plan to use it after the conditioner. If/when I use it, I'll use it first, then follow with a moisturizing DC with PC mixed in.

^^ I just got the poo for the first time too. I accidentally bought it thinking I was buying the conditioner. lol. I'll be using it the same way.

Has anyone actually ever used it (the conditioner) for the purpose of relaxing? If so how?
