Pontail holders??

I use Goody Ouchless - the really thin, fabric covered ones. I haven't had any breakage with these. That reminds me, I need to pick up some more at Walmart this weekend.

The best ponytail holders I've ever used were ones I made myself...by cutting about a two inch section of old hosiery, such as a knee hi. The black ones look the best.

Cool!! No bad effects???

I'm thinking about getting these...I just haven't ordered them yet.
They are on Ebay.

None whatsoever. They are very soft, stretchy and gentle on the hair. Holds the hair extremely well and if you ponytail wet hair with them, the hair underneath dries faster. We may be seeing them in stores soon.

I use the no metal ones by conair and scunchi soaked in evoo. I think this is why I don't have a problem with breakage.

Same here.

The ones that work best for me are Sephora snag-free hair elastics. They have to be by Sephora though. There are ones sold at the BSS and drugstore but they are not the same quality by any means!
The ones at Sephora are sold in brown, black, and clear. I use the brown ones cause they blend in well with my hair.

I too like the oucless ones and I think ones by scuni (sp). They don't have the metal piece. I have to buy a lot though because the DH takes them to hold his locs back.

I also make my own out of pantyhose. I generally spray them with oil sheen before I put them on. They are very gentle and I haven't had any damage.

ITA!! :) I use these as well! I haven't seen any breakage thus far, and my hair doesn't snag/tangle with these rubberbands than if I used anything else.
