Just curious. IT has 10% sulfur in it!

I saw this in Family Dollar and I started to get but I changed my mind:wallbash:. I still have about 1/5 jar left of Sulfur 8 and lots of MTG already so I'm going to finish that first. Are you going to use it?

Yes I've used it for my edges(they were getting thin do to brushing them down daily while wet).It gives a little tingling sensation but it worked nicely for me.

Yeah, I used it. It is really thick & gritty. I only put it on my scalp. I grew an inch in one week. I stopped using it though. Wait a minute, why did I stop using it? :wallbash: I need get back to that! :drunk:

Wow, I've used this on acne (my dd has some on her forehead at 10 yo). It dries the pimples out. I would think that this would be very drying to the scalp.

Did you ladies use this straight with no mixtures? And you did not experience any excessive drying?

Wow.

Are you serious??? ((Nose running, sweating, shaking like Pookie. It's calling me man)) I knew I should have gotten it. :wallbash: I really want to get my nape to grow, atleast let it catch up to everything else.

I picked some up while i was in Houston, I use it on my face at night its really greasy, but i will start using i on my edges tonight and track how much growth I get in a month

I bought some a while ago out of curiosity, and it is really gritty. Maybe I should try it, but I think I will mix it with something.

Okay, I'll admit. I let my PJ'ism get the best of me and I bought a jar today from Dollar General. Does it have a strong scent like Sulfur 8? I may have to mix it with something because it's getting hot now and I don't want to walk around smelling like sulfur.

HOLY COW!!!!!!!! OFF TO BUY LIKE 10 JARS:lol: (but if you grow an inch in one week, then I probably could grow to WSL in about a month:lol:)

I just realized this stuff was for acne, but hey, I would only be using it for my hair. Do you ladies mix it with anything?

bumping for
ingredients please.....

I got this from another thread. Not sure if it will help

See http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?p=4220491#post4220491
“Specially processed microcrystalline sulfur 10% in an oil-free water washable base”

The poster said she mixes it as follows

I made a concoction that I am very happy with. I used:
- Pomada De Azufre
-100% Jojoba oil
-Hollywood Beauty Carrot Cream
-ORS Fertilizing Serum

She then posted that she changed it.
I mixed in a blender Sulfur Powder, Emu oil, Mango Butter (not elasta qp's - the real stuff) and a few other oils.

I've been thinking about trying this for a while.

I'm not expecting 1 inch in 1 week, though...that's reaching :ohwell:.

But maybe a full inch a month would suffice.

so... what does it smell like? (besides sulfur, i mean). would the smell be noticeable if you put it on your scalp?

It is not drying on my scalp. I used it in the summer and I applied it 4 days of that week at night. I also co-washed almost everyday, because it is real thick and gritty on my hair in the morning, and DC'ed 2 days that week. In the summer, my hair grows real fast, so that might be it. I used it straight up as well. It does not have a noticable smell--i guess it smells like rubber, or sulfur, I can't remember. I noticed that I was on a hard workout regimen too. The heat might have helped it work better too. I'm going to try to sit under the dry with this on my scalp. This was after my BC and I went from ear lenght to nape length by fall.

Well Sugar if it happens again let us know but pm me first so I can beat everybody else to the store:look:

1 inch in a week? Ok.....:look:

Do you know how many bottles of this stuff I will buy if my hair grows an inch in a week? I will grow it until my hair looks like this (below), then I will cut half of it off to make natural looking, afro-textured wigs for Black women, and keep doing it again and again. I would never have to work AGAIN I tell you:lol:

Thanks Sugar:kiss: If I can get the kind of growth you got, I am seriously going into business growing, cutting and selling my hair as wigs:lol:.

Thanks for letting me know it doesn't smell. Did you apply it straight or did you mix it with something else?

Okay,

This is something that I meant to buy again after my last jar got empty. My dd's acne comes and goes. And it is back. (she's 10 and on that hormonal bridge to puberty).

I went to Walmart (which is where I am sure I bought it from the first time) but could not find it. In what section of the store did you ladies find this?

What I was told is that it's sold in Walmarts with a large Latino population. I live on the East Coast and there are many Latinos, yet my Walmart didn't have it. What you can do is call your local Walmart in the pharmacy section and ask if they sell it. If they say no, tell them that Walmart's across the country sell it and to special order it for you! They should be able to do this! Otherwise it's usually found in the pharmacy section, or if they have a section that sells many Latino products (i.e. Dominican products, etc.) it is usually found there. Kinda like how Sulfur 8 is found in the "Black section."
