which do you prefer - intense hydrator or honeysuckle rose? pls indicate if you're relaxed or natural and why you like it. i'm curious, and i bet others are too!

honeysuckle rose has been my hg but i recently got the hydrator when in a package when i repurchased the kpak reconstructor. i tried it yesterday and i think i like it. jury's still out. i will use it again my next wash and make a decision. i will also add some almond oil to it, which is what i always do with the honeysuckle rose. i am concerned about the lanolin in it. i do try to be mindful of the ingredient list of products.

thanks in advance for participating!

Good morning,

I voted Honey Suckle Rose. I am Relaxed. My hair responded better to the AO line. Joico is good, but I prefer AO.

RZ~

I'm relaxed and I prefer Joico with oils and sometimes I mix it with Humecto and Roux PC which is a great combo after using the reconstructor but the hydrator alone does nothing for my hair

I am relaxed and I LOVE JOICO INTENSE HYDRATOR THE BEST FOR MOISTURIZING CONDITIONER MY HAIR.

I am relaxed and I love Joico Intense Hydrator! Especially good when mixed with EVOO and Cerarepair Hydratherapie :lick:

Relaxed Head Here. I Voted Joico Intense Hydrator (w/o mixing any additional products into it):look:.

I've used AO HSR as well. HSR is also a 'good' product:yep: (but in a different way) And I say 'different' because....IMO: one is Salon Based and one is Natural based (so my comparison of the two would naturally be different)

I voted Joico.

I am relaxed and used the intense hydrator for the first time on Friday..it was very moisturizing and i didn't need any extra oils.

but then again I'm only 4 weeks post.... You have me wondering now if say at 8 or 12 weeks post relaxer it will work just as well.

actually, that does make sense. what's your experience with that?

I used it yesterday w/o any additional 'help'. :look:

I'm entering my 13 week Post.:yep:

And It worked Famously.

I am relaxed and I have used both products and my hair prefers AO Honeysuckle rose conditioner.
The Joico Hydrator does not cut when my new growth gets rough, and does not provide as much slip and moisture like AO Honeysuckle conditioners.
I dont use my the Hydrator after 4 weeks post relaxer and will not repurchase in the future.

I am natural and love the Joico Intense Hydrator in the KPak line. I think the key is that it has hydrolized keratin as an ingredient, which is such a critical hair strengthening protein that actually helps the hair to absorb moisture better. I don't use this for slip; I actually use it as a mild protein treatment, due to its ingredients, and I use it once a week.

As shocking as this will sound, for some reason AOHRC did not work too well for me. I love the other Aubrey Organics conditioners, though, especially the Camelia one. :yep:

Ok, so what am I doing wrong with AOHSR? No matter what I do: heat it, steam it, mix it .... it always leaves my hair brick hard. :nono:

What are you mixing the AOHSR with? How are you using it?

i'm not sure..i use it on wet hair and mix it with almond oil and i haven't been disappointed. what other products do you use?

I usually use Joico products (K-Pak, Moisture Recovery, etc).

My leave in is Mizani Nighttime H20.

I have tried to use AOHSR on dry hair as a DC, after washing DC, with steam, under the Pibbs ....

Still Going Hard on the Joico Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm and Joico Intense Hydrator.

Moisture to the MAX!

YAY JOICO!
