how do i add a picture to my post???

Do one of the two things HoneyDew mentioned: attach or link.
If you want to link you'll need to have the pic online. If you don't already have an online album somewhere I would suggest just using the gallery here on lhcf. You can upload your pics from your computer to the gallery.
To have the pic show up in your post, you first need to get the link to the image.
To get the image url:
While looking at the image in the gallery or other online album, right-click on the picture (control-click if you don't have a 2-button mouse) to pop up the contextual menu. Choose "get image location" or "copy image address" or something to that effect. The url will be on your pasteboard now so make sure you don't copy anything else between getting the address and adding it to your post, otherwise you'll lose it.
To add picture to your post:
Paste the url you just got between image tags within your post. If you need help with tags, look here (scroll down near the bottom for the image tag section)
