Please recommend a nice tingly scalp spray for while I'm in braids...

I just recently brought Shea Moisture African Black Intensive Scalp Elixir at Target. So far so good. It has only been about a week since I begin using it.

Darcy's Botanical's Herbal Leave In Spritz...it smells like a light peppermint but doesn't tingle. I want some tingle too! Awaiting suggestions as well....

Is it a spray? Does it tingle when applied?

Need some "tingle" in my life! My scalp doesn't exactly "itch" but it's driving me crazy.

I would say make your own using water, tea tree & peppermint oil for the tingle and itching, some jojoba oil if you get dry scalp or wheat germ oil for a ceramide, coconut oil olive oil or shea oil for well for all they're good for and some lavender, lemon or whatever other oil for scent. That's what I do for my twists and braids. May have to massage a tad to play up that tingle. Also shampooing with giovanni triple treat shampoo or if you aren't sulfate free ors uplifting shampoo will both give you a banging tingle.
By the way I love your hair

Home Health makes a pre shampoo treatment called Hairever I. It's has excellent ingredients including biotin at the end. It's meant to be used then shampooed out the same day but I mix mine with water 10-1 and put it in a spray bottle. It's cool refreshing and cleans your scalp rather than causing build up. I don't plan to shampoo in the twists I'm in so this is a great alternative.

You can purchase at any health food store for around $16 (I found mine at Big Lots for about $4). It's last a long time bc of the dilution. I wouldn't recommend using it as is because it's hella strong but I dilute A LOT.

I created a spritz using Aloe Vera gel (largest bottle), rosemary (5 drops) and peppermint (10 drops). Mix in a spray bottle and spray directly on roots. Nice tingle for along time!

Dr. Joyce Williams' Hair Food. Some of the ingredients it contains are aloe vera extract, witch hazel extract, nettle extract, sea kelp extract, avocado oil, apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil, wheat germ oil, and menthol. I had to google it and then bought it from an online vendor (sorry but I can't remember which one.)

My hair and scalp love it! I suppose the tingle could be a little much for some, but not for me. It's like Vick's Vaporub for the scalp!!!:lick:

Have you tried the home health hairever spray?

Shescentit has a scalp spritz that advertises it will give your scalp a "cool tingling feeling". I noticed when I tried to find shampoos to make my scalp tingle, the peppermint has to be towards the top of the ingredient list for me to feel anything.

Ingredients to Shescentit's scalp spritz:
Water (infused with Aloe, horsetail leaf extract, orange pekoe, colts foot flower extract, meadowsweet flower extract, cucumber distillate, Spear Mint, Rosemary oil, Eucalyptus, garlic extract) hydrolyzed silk, germall plus.

I made my own using Tea Tree Oil, Nexxus leave in and Vitamin E oil - the tingle comes from the tea tree oil....Feels really good on a stressed scalp from braiding.

I can't BELIEVE no one said African Royale BRX Spray!! This stuff is the ultimate....and it smells amazing! Best of all.....it's dirt cheap. I love it.

I always use it when I have an itchy scalp. It soothes the itch and feels cool on my scalp. Sorry it didn't work for you....I do like your recommendation though!

I personally would get in the kitchen and start mixing myself. Maybe some aloe vera juice with a little oil/essential ols mix in there. :)

Aloe vera promotes growth too.
