Please recommend a good protein cond...

for my hair. I am taking my braids out and need to do a protein treatment. I probably need something Keratin enriched and if at all possible, not too expensive. TIA.

.....these are two of the best protein conditioners IMO. I feel as though these two actually target/eliminate "OUR" hair problems like dryness and breakage. ~HTH~

....also a lot of ladies like the Aphogee Treatment as well.

These are ones I use, too. They are all very good. I also like Aubrey's GPB and Lamaur Bone Marrow Treatment.

I have read so much about Adeva DR -mostly that it is really moisturizing.

Is it still a deep conditioning protein as well? Can it be used as a reconstructor during relaxing?

I used to use Aphogee's Keratin 2 Intensive .

Now i use the Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer Spray Has eliminated the need for protein treatments

Yep these are good ones. Another classification might be:

Light protein (oat derived protein, I think?): Aveda DR Treatment
Heavy (polymers and collagen): Nexxus Emergencee
Heavy (keratin): ApHogee Intensive Keratin Reconstructor (Red Bottle...not the 2...

I've had great results with Mizani Kerafuse. I sit under the heat cap for about 45 minutes and then rinse it out. The difference is immediate! I love the stuff, it STOPPED breakage immediatly

I also agree that aphogee is a good serious HARD protein, make sure to double up on the DC afterwards. I used to two minute one, but I preferred the old school smelly-get-hard treatment better because of the results.

emergencee is so-so

and DBP is too light of a protein to use as an intensive protein treatment.

I would also recommend Joico K-PAC protein reconstructor. good stuff!
