WOW! No replies! I did my caruso set yesterday on Airdried, wrapped hair.
I am relaxed, 5 weeks post, I applied a JBCO/sulfur mix to scalp and JBCO only to my ends for an overnight prepoo. Then I shampooed with Dudu Osan African Black Soap (very moisturizing) and did a dc with Skala Ceramides and Aussie Moist 3 min. miracle. I then whipped up a batch of Kimmaytube leave in but my base was BIOinfusion leave in and I did not use castor oil just coconut oil. My hair airdried with no frizz at all! I wrapped it to smooth out roots a little and then used my Carusos. I have lots of layers so I used the Large on the longest back layer and the Small Plus and Small ones in the crown area. I used the medium ones on the sides. See attached pics for results!

what is the deal with these rollers? Are these a form of direct heat? Can you use it on natural hair?

They are steam rollers, or more correctly, steam sponge rollers. They get warm and steam into your hair to set a curl that usually lasts me a day. I actually either use mine with end papers or satin covers coz my ends don't like the sponge.
As far as on natural hair, yes, I've seen some amazing pics on this board of ladies who used caruso rollers on natural hair. I think they straightened it first then set the hair on the rollers. One lady on here, I don't remember her name but her caruso set on natural bsl hair was simply amazing!
