Need to know all the places that are fully stocked/have a lot - also where they are and how to get them (by subway pref.) - going to NY at the end of the week - and my mom wants stuff. I tried searching back posts, but I am finding a lot of irrelevant stuff. TIA

Any beauty supply store on 125th Street, take either the 2,3,A,B,C,D trains to 125th Street or the beauty supply stores on 116th street and 3rd Avenue take the 6 train to 116th Street.
 
There's a large beauty supply store on 181st St. between Amsterdam & Brodway. You can take the A train to 181st and walk 1 one block towards the east.
This location is in a Dominican neighborhood, so they have all of the conditioners and shampoos.
 
The cheapest one is between 105th and 106th and Amsterdam. I think it is called Rama. They had a 5lb tub of Keracare Humecto for $25 bucks AND they have a whole aisle of just Dominican products

I'm gonna co-sign with Starz on the spot on 181st street...that's the bustling street right in the heart of Washington Heights...you are now in Dominican country mami..and if you even walk straight down 181st there's another spot that has a good selection as well...also co-signing on Rama's...but u want Dominican products...go where the Dominican's are...Washington Heights. Hop on the1/9 or A train to 181st.

You can also take the 1 train up there and it leaves you across the street from it. You will be on Bway, you have to turn left and go across the street
