Just wanted to join in with you on your search. My gray is a skunk line on my head and i have been using semi- perm color from the Beautiful ine. Get maybe 3-4 weeks with it depending on how much i wash. I apply it with heat for 20 mins under the dryer. Was eyballing the henna + indigo becuase the site said it will cover the grey. But was concerned about how the Jet Black was gonna look. At certain ages :ohwell: a harsh black can age you further. Nobody wants that. But some say the henna after a few rinses will give you a nice brown. Looking for more info....

I use henna ans yes it does cover the gray like a semi-permanent color.

My gray is across the front of my head so when them suckers are uncovered it's like  !

Again, the henna is great! Bcuz it's natural, I love it even more.

I use henna only right now and the strands come out a lightbrownish-red, which is WAY better than the gray. I'm waiting for my indigo order to come in to make them a bit darker. (Sorry no pix, but will make sure to take some b4 next treatment).

The last time I used regular hair color I got 2 big knotts on each side of my neck! I FREAKED!!! I have used color for years & had NEVER reacted that way to color, but all it took was that one time!

HTH
