please help with styling clip on extensions

I bought a package of goddess remi yaki black extensions and the clips so I could make my own and save some money. I have my husband’s office party tomorrow and I wanted to blend some extensions in with my hair. I dyed my hair jet black yesterday, flat ironed so I could see where the extensions would go and how they would blend with my hair and they do, but the only thing is that they are really long (14") they come down to the top of my breasts, my hair is about 2" to get to APL, so that's a bit under shoulder length. I want to try those soft curls but wanted to ask you ladies first.

I was thinking of using flexirods but not so tight, or a curling iron, something like sanaa lathan sometimes wears

any suggestions?

thank you noir, I'll do that, it's just that the hair looks so long and super duper straight just hanging there, I don't want to cut it because against my best judgment (and my husband's) I got the 14" instead of 12" and now I just don't want to complain about the hair being too long.

So,off to buy a curling iron ...lol
