Hello ladies. I have 2 questions.

I'm about to try the twist out. How do I maintain it? After I take it down and sleep on it (next day), it's going to look raggedy!

Also, has anyone used Carol's Daughter's hair products? If so, how do you likie?

I think the best way to maintain a twist-out is to retwist it. The bedtime twists don't have to be small, you can do 6-8 large ones and that should maintain the style fairly well.

I like CD hair balm, hair elixir, tui leave-in and khoret amen hair smoothie.

I used Carol's Daugher's hair milk and hair butter. Better off buying generic stuff-- nothing special. The hair butter is super greasy and weighs the hair down.

If the twist out was done with big twists then I will retwist at night. If they were little twists that stayed in for a couple of days then i just wrap carefully with a satin scarf and spritz back to life in the morning with some Greg's Juice and distilled water. works great for me.

for the first 3-4 days on a twist out, I just tie it down at night, spritz w/ water and let the shower steam get to it. I don't really care about definition. If I want to maintain some definition, I will use a product w/ wax in it, rinse the twists several times over a couple of days, and scrunch in a combo of a quarter size amt of suave coconut conditioner mixed with a dime sized amt of ISO bouncy creme. If I do that one the first day, I will have definition daily if I just spritz w/ water (no steam) and re-shake
