I have seen some YT videos on using pipe cleaners to curl locs. But I was wondering has anyone used pipe cleaners to curl loose hair especially natural or transitioning hair that is not braided or such. Just wondering would it work.

I don't see how that would work without causing alot of manipulation damage and ripped hair. There are rods, curlformers, flexirods, rollers - all of these create tension without risk of metal ripping the hair out if it gets caught.

Locs don't have to worry about snapping strands, they'll just get twisted into the loc.
