PICS OF MY NEW CURLY PERM...

So...maybe this is a dumb question, but I have no experience with curly perms. :perplexed

What would happen if you only put on the re-arranger and then rinsed? Do you need to booster part? What if you applied the re-arranger and then the booster without using rods to set? :spinning:

If you only put the rearranger in & then rinsed, your hair would be straight as if you got a relaxer, just not bone straight. There would be no need for the booster if you didn't use the rods b/c the booster is for the curls.

Do your maintenance products (your activators and moisturizers) smell curly-permish? just curious...

Also I remember as a child my best friend had a curly perm had to wear cap to sleep every night; do you whole-head baggy every night?

My maintenance products don't smell curly-permish but they don't smell like flowers, either. The smell is very bland, somewhat odd. I bought some hair perfume yesterday.

I don't have to whole-head baggy at all but last night I did wrap my hair in saran wrap for a moisture boost & my hair was nice & silky this morning - not dripping wet.

Ohh..so your hair wouldn't fall out then if you used just re-arranger?

Why don't people do that instead of using relaxers? Or do they and I've just never heard about it?

Seems like it would be a easier way to texlax since it doesn't remove all the curl?

Some people do wear their curls straight. However, you have to still moisturize as if it were curly so that eliminates your normal straight styles if that makes sense.

However, it does remove the curl. After the rearranger is applied, your hair is straight, just not bone straight. I don't think it would work like a texlax.

OMG, and you were hiding that pretty hair!!!! Good thing I never saw you when Gabby was doing your hair. I would have ran in and said nooooooooooooooooo!
