Hair product junkie reloaded!
Well I added two pics under my real hair. I took my tree briads down...grrr I think I accidently cut and ripped out parts of my real hair thinking it was extensions again...argh. For me, it's hard to tell the diff a lot of times. i think once I run out of the hair I have now I will start using more 'off-natural" colors...like nothing black but something more light brown as oposed to blonde.

Gonna get individuals sometime this week. That lasted me a good two months. I love getting the hook up :)

Girl you have a lot of hair and I love your blonde!! I think using another color extensions is a great idea! Much success to you :)

thanks! I will see how it goes. I think I will do mini-chops starting every 1 to 2 months (everytime I get my extensions re-did) once I get back to Pittsburgh. I hope to be fully natural at MOST a year from May 7th 05. I will have transitioned a year with no chops (I cut my split ends once but that don't count!) and a second year of chops. So first year = no chops and second year = mini chops. I figure that way I will have plenty of new growth and it won't be super short. I will be using braids, weaves, wigs, and if I can afford it, extensions (attached to my hair without glue...had them before...EXCELLENT but expensive...they lasted 4 months and my hair flurished without breaking).

Girl, you didn't keep those tree braids in very long.

You hair looks good. Kudos on transitioning for so long. I know that is very tough.

I know I didn't keep em long! I think I had them too long...and it got all tangled and stuff and I just got tired of it. I had first cut it to about shoulder length and it looked a lot better...I probably should have kept it like that for a little while...but then I was like nah I might as well just take em out.

THanks for th ekudos...it's not so hard if I get braids all the time. Man if I had to comb through that thing every day iI would probably go scissor mad. I will leave the cutting to the salon though and will keep getting braids til then since its so cheap here. I may even to the BC when I get back in June...it just depends on how much new growth I have and if I am comfortable with it at that time. If not, I will stick to what I said in my other reply.

You hair looks so pretty and soft!

What's your regimen and what products do you use?

Keep up the good work!

~op~

thanks. yall are giving me confidence.

My regime is nothing special...I have been wearing braids or wigs since May. When I am not in braids, I conditioner wash every day or every other day. I would deep condition once a week with Fantasia Tea Tree conditioner. For my co washes I would use Suave....I think Milk & Honey? I would shampoo once a week when I deep conditioned using Surge's Powerwash.I would also Surge it up daily with the spray. In th emornings, I would use Surge oil right after the spray. At night, I would use WGO right after the spray. I ran out of most of my products though so I had to buy some French stuff that I don't know the quality of....lol. I was able to find some Cream of Nature Detangling Shampoo which I heard is good.

My regime won't be terribly consistent once I get braids again. When I get back on my turf in the US I will come up with something more consistent like I was doing before.
