I'm thinking of getting a pibbs but I noticed that it says that you need to use a hair net Well one of the main reasons I want a hood dryer is to use it for conditioning treatments.

So I'm thinking how I use it for conditioning treatments if you need to use it with a hair net?

Do you all use a hair net when using it?

Do you use it for conditioning treatments, and if so how?

Do you use a plastic cap or not? I was planning on using it without a plastic cap.

Is the pibbs only really best used for roller sets? and even then only with a hair net over the rollers/set?

You have to use a hair net. Your hair will get sucked into the fan by the whirlwind action. To deep condition, I use a cap and put the net over it, or the cap will get sucked off my head. It is also wonderful for rollersetting because it heats/dries my hair evenly, something I could never achieve with a regular tabletop dryer HTH.

Agreed. Use the hairnet at all times. They're cheap from Sally's or the BSS. If I'm not mistaken, it also comes with one.

When I was relaxed, I used it with and without a hairnet. My hair was rolled securely and I didn't have any issues with my hair getting sucked up in the upward air flow. When I used it for conditioning, I wore a plastic cap.

I deep condition under the dryer with a cap (shopping bag actually lol) and rollerset using a hair net.
So I would say always use a cap for DC or a net for rollersetting.

I always use a hairnet, I just tie it over the plastic bag to dc.

Pibbs dryers have an upward air flow, so everything will get sucked up in the vent w/o a net.

I don't use a hair net.....when I dc I just use a plastic cap. It stays on just fine. I don't use one for roller sets either. The only time I really need to use one with the Pibbs is when I sit under it with loose hair (wash n' go) because your hair will get sucked up to the fan.

That is a good point. My rollers are not exactly tight, just enough so that I can get a smooth set. I am one to err on the side of caution though, and I follow the manufacturer's directions. For dc'ing the cap will slip back off my hairline without a net and I don't want that. I use the triangular BSS ones. That one that came with the the dryer will not fit over my rollers for me.

I use the net for my roller sets and over my plastic cap for DC's...but I don't use it for my Aphogee Two Step treatments.

I only use my pibbs for deep conditioning and rollersets which i wear a hair net for both. For my dc's i use a plastic cap and put a hair net over it.
