I got my dryer in the mail this week. My hubby will but it together this weekend. (Since I've been too sick to do anything with it). Ladies who have this, what are the largest size rollers you've used with this dryer? Also who uses mesh rollers on their natural hair - I'm thinking of using them while transitioning to tighten up my new growth.

Yay! I use the purple rollers and can sit comfortably under it. Macherie said she uses/or used to use the grey rollers so unless she has a small head, u should be able to as well... hehehehe, just kidding Mach....

hehehhe actually my head is ginormous. I can fit under the dryer, sometimes I gotta lean wit it, rock wit it to get under the hood tho:look:

They use the Pibbs 514 at the Dominican Salon that i go to......... and i use the black and grey rollers (I think those are 2.5" and 3" rollers). There's no problem fitting inside, although i may have to wiggle my head a bit to initially get in. :)

I've used purple rollers...I think macherieamour uses some grey rollers with hers.

It's really easy to put together...it took me like 5 minutes.

You're gonna love it!

lol...she did not say lean wit it, rock wit it :lachen:

I volunteer to break the Pibbs in for you. It's a terrible sacrifice but what time should I be there?

Okay seriously. I need to do my hair this weekend and I sooo don't feel like it!:(

hmmm... when I go to them, my head can never fit in properly with the rollers and I feel like the rollers and my hair are literally pressing on the part where the heat comes out, making me feel as if I'm getting a turbo blow dryer to my head for an hour or so. I get so paranoid, but that thing dries my hair the fastest. If I use the others, I'd be in there for close to 2 hrs! I'm hoping pibbs comes out with an extra large version or something so I won't feel like I;m frying my hair when I use it.

ETA: I just check online and it looks like the ones I go to use the 512 not the 514. I dunno if that makes a difference in the size though. :ohwell:

Thanks guys!

Mizani_Mrs: I think I'll start with the purple rollers

Macherieamour: I don't think I'll be able to lean and rock with it until I have my baby:lol:

Kinikakes: I'm don't think I've ever used the black rollers, but your hair is a lot longer than mine, so thoses might not work. Plus I have about 5 months of NG too:(

Which site did you purchase the dryer from?

Zora, I ordered mine from Sally's. I went into the store and asked to view their catologue.

The cashier then calls in to get the item's order number, you pay ($309 + tax), they order it for you (no shipping charge), and it arrives at your house about four business days later. They did call me 24 hours later to verify that I did want to order it b/c the manuf. said he had gotten a lot of returns b/c customers didn't know about the upward air flow and the wearing a hair net part. I of course had be schooled by LHCF members about those things prior to purchasing:grin:

I bet you would:lachen:

Actually my hubby put it together quite quickly last night and I'm feeling a lot better now, so I'll be breaking it in this weekend.

I really like this dryer

I saw both the 512 model and 514, I forget what the difference was...I just went with the experience of the LHCF members.

QUESTION:

Do you ladies use the hair net that came with the dryer it looks very small to me. I'm thinking of getting my own. Also the ladies a Costco who serves the samples have hair nets that hang very long at the back, I'm thinking of asking one of the managers to give me one :look:
