:look:

:lachen:, I saw it too.. WOW:eek:, over 200 for a touch-up and style .:(
I may splurge ONCE to see what it us all about, I am soo curious now. :p

I use Phyto products though I don't use the relaxer. Went here one day to stock up and it's a great place. Was given a tour by an AA gentleman who was so informative. He almost had me crossing over to the $200 plus touch-up! He has two daughters who both get Phyto relaxers done by him and he said that they love it. Still sticking to my mild lye relaxer but loved the place. They have great facials and treatments for hair and scalp also. When I purchased my products I also got samples to try.

Wow, I'm wishing that I was back in NY right about now. I'll have to go and check it out when DH and I go home to see my folks. That place looks so peaceful and like I'd have a great experience :)

did anyone else ever get to go
im thinking of relaxing and its my first time, so i would love to go there if they really know what theyre doing

:bump::bump:

Has anyone visited this place yet and can review their services? I may be visiting NY in a couple of months and might want to check it out. :D

That place looks nice, but kaching, kaching!!! Can that AA gentleman do my relaxer better than my domincan stylist?.... Not sure. (I buy my Phyto and she does it).

My bosses daughter uses phyto and her hair looks GREAT.

Girl, I thought this was going to be a website full of Phyto products.

WOW!!! This place looks so nice and serene. I wanna go! HOWEVER, those prices are crazy. Almost $300 for a touch-up??? That's 5 boxes of Phytorelaxer. I'm going to need a meal or something included. Maybe I can get someone to sponsor me for Christmas or my birthday.

If anyone gets to go, please let us know how you liked it.

I went for my last touch up and it was heavenly. The stylist (who's name I've totally forgotten, this was in May) used all these other phyto products on my hair after the relaxer like phytojoba and the conditioning oil. He confirmed my "guess" that I should be using Index 1 as my hair gets limp when I use Index 2. He mixed up this perfect concoction pamper my hair after the relaxer was done. I've got thin fine hair so the minute I left the place it was flinging all over the place in the wind (of course I had to leave it down for a little bit). I didn't mind much.

They product push (I got phyto 7), but not too much. Also! They won't let you tip on your credit card, but there's a citibank a few blocks away as well as some other banks if you forget. =)

The bathroom is awesome too because they've got perfumes and lotions in there from the other floors for you to use! I enjoyed the robes, the water with lemon (there's tea too!), the personalized attention and the private room a lot.

They definitely try to give you breathing space to destress from the outside world.

I only wish I could go more often, but the price makes it a little impossible to justify.

I've been to Ted Gibson's salon but they don't carry Phyto (they have affirm and mizani I think, I've always had them put affirm in) and would rather have them carry it in-house than pay 60 for the relaxer then the $120 for the touch up that they charge.

I've had Violet at Michelle Hair Cutters (on 40th? 41st?) put the Index 1 in my hair as well and that works out well, but still ends up being ~ $120 since they charge $60 something for a relaxer whether you bring it or not.

I don't trust very many people to put relaxer in my hair (including myself) so I'm still a little stuck.

I was so going to add this as a stop on my business trip to NYC until I seen the prices... My beautiful bathroom is serene too . I'll stick to doing my hair in there. $230 is just ridiculous, especially since I am a PJ and I know I'd walk out of there spending like $500 dollars.
