Phyto Index I or II

I would say that it depends on the look you are going for. I know at least one person who is a type 4 and uses the Index I to texturize her hair. I have used both-- Index II gave me completely straight hair and I stretched to 12 weeks and with Index I my hair was straight, but I seemed to notice that my hair was getting wavy after about 4-5 weeks.

According to the manufacturer:
Index I is for fine delicate hair
Index II is for normal, thick, resistant hair

I don't really know my hair type -- I think 2 something with 3 something mixed in.
HTH :)

Edited to add: You can check out my fotki -- the pictures are of my hair after the Index II was done at http://public.fotki.com/VickiD/
