Photographing your hair journey

Do you all take the pictures yourself? I want to keep track of my hair journey but I seem to be inept with posing myself and holding my camera at the right angle. What are the secrets to this? Tips?

I don't want my hair album to be a bunch of awkward selfies

I began with having my daughters take my pics. Now I use my regular camera on a tripod. I still have some selfies throw in.

Camera timer and prop it on something so you can see your frame before you snap the picture. You can also use mirrors to take the picture and men they are useful too at taking pictures lol.

OMG, thank you OP. I have to take 10 pics to get a decent one of my length. I am so not good at those.

I think I need to get a camera for all of this, but that wont happen for a couple of months. I never thought about tripods or self timers, and I'm used to photography stuff. Silly me.

Your phone's camera should have a timer as well or even voice-command.
I'm still learning how to take pix on my own but, usually, I ask someone to take them for me. I have that person take a few so that I can pick which one will match the one taken at my previous length check.

However, my best photos are taken by my dh. I snap quite a few with my phone but it's not the best quality.

I have DH take mine as well. They don't come up as nice when I take them myself. I might do a selfie when I need a quick length check but usually hubby takes them whether he likes it or not,
