Is it possible to purchase phony ponytails online? If so where?
Yes, but I rather see them in person first.
Do a search on wigs/ponytail synthetic/weaves/freetress/fullcap....
They will pop up for you...
Possible places are: Outre, Texas Beauty Supply, & Gigi....

Dr. Locks has a variety of textures and lengths. I prefer this curly one b/c it's convincing when I've got a lot of new growth. I've gotten fast delivery, product looked the same as advertised, no problems. I've ordered from them several times and would do it again. Plus, their prices are reasonable (to me). It's about US$14.95. This is synthetic.

Phony Ponies has a variety of textures and lengths as well. Again, the texture matches my new growth (it's the one I posted above) so even family members have mistaken it for my own hair. It's made of human hair and costs a bit more, about US$29, I think. The shipping is A LOT slower (it may depend on where you live; I live in the Mid-west and they're based in NY) and it's gotten matted a lot easier than my synthetic one (so I conditioner rinse and gently finger detangle before laying flat to dry), but I've ordered from them before and would consider ordering from them again.

HTH!
