How can I continue to perm my hair without damaging it and keeping it healthy? Any tips or reggie's?

Sorry, I can't answer your question. I just wanted to say you have a beautiful baby boy!

hey:) these are the things that work for me to keep healthy relaxed hair:yep:

stretching relaxers to 8 weeks OR until there is at least 1.5 inches of new growth...

only relax the new growth, and try to use mild relaxers that do not get the hair bone straight

keep hair clean, and moisturized, especially ends...

make sure to deep condition after relaxer, and with every shampoo...

stay away from tight ponytails and brushes...

only combing once or twice per week... (I either bun, roller-set, or braid-out)

In addition to what the previous poster said,

Limit direct heat. If you can completely remove it from your regimen, even better!

Always use a leave-in.

Do a reconstructive protein treatment when your hair calls for it.

ALWAYS NEUTRALIZE!!!!!!!!

When doing touch-up's, coat the previously relaxed hair with oil or conditioner or a combination of both.
