When I was about 16/17 I went to a salon for a press n curl. I had been there before, but my hair was done by a male stylist that I'd never seen before. Cutting to the chase he didn't control the temp on the showerhead properly so whilst washing my hair he literally SCALDED my scalp in one spot in the middle of my head:burning:
He apologised profusely and I got my hair styled, paid for it only to go home and for weeks later deal with an irritated, very sore scalp that had flakes the size of my palm! I went back and got a free hairstyle instead of kicking up a fuss and threatening legal action (I was young and didn't know better...)
Anyway fast forward 8 or so years and this middle section of my hair, about the size of a golf ball is still super sensitive, thin, and growth challenged. I read lots of tips for rescuing trouble spots in tiffers' thread but my traumatised spot doesn't seem to be responding Did that guy permanently damage my follicles? Is there anyway for this spot to be nursed back to health if this is the case?
Thanks for your help in advance ladies
