..I’ll be using Phyto index I.

I also plan on using CHI silk infusion at all times.

What’s your opinion and WHY?

Have you done this before?

Sounds like a recipe for breakage.
But some people used to relax root to tip each time and still have hair. So over a texlax could be okay. Just do a protien treatment a few days before if you dare to double process your hair.

So are you now wanting your hair bone straight? When did you last relax?? If your going to relax your hair, I would leave it for less time. For instance if you texlaxed for 5 minutes. Maybe perm for no more than 15 minutes to total 20 minutes processing time.

Whatever you do, good luck.

Well, I did it last August and ended up with over over-processed ends...they didn't break or split, but they did end up giving me a porosity problem...the plan was to relax the NG first and then the tex'd part...It didn't work. But then again, my hair was really short so I ended up getting relaxer on the already processed parts too early so they processed too long.

Maybe if you stretch for a while and the relax the NG first and then apply the relaxer during the last 3-5 minutes. IMO its very tricky.

The final descision, really depends on the nature of your hair. I decided to risk it because my hair is pretty resistant but if I was fine haired, colored, prone to breakage or already damaged then I'd probably not have done it.

Ok….I’m a 100% natural right now …been like this for about 3 yrs. SSK, tangles and the sheer fear of doing anything with my hair due to tangles is stressing me out too much.

I’m now considering telexing (5 mins or less) for manageability …in about 5 months later I may want to perm my hair straight. I just cannot wait anymore. This wont be continual AT ALL. Just the once. SSK's are hindering my growth.

I think you should just choose one or the other. I did that over 15 years ago (put a relaxer over a perm) and all of my hair fell out. All of it. :nono:

:yep: Choose one or the other. Correctives are tricky- some have success. I can honestly say a corrective lead to my very first set back, I lost about 6 inches too:nono:.

If you decide that this is the route for you..... a couple of pointers.....
If you texlax with lye, make sure that is lye that you correct with (and vice versa)

Also if you do the corrective make sure that you only process for about 5 minutes.

Good luck OP- I hear so many naturals complain about SSK's- I wish you luck in combatting them.
