Pantene better than salon brands?

I keep seeing these Pantene commercials where they are claiming to be better than salon brands. What is your opinion on this?

Also, they claim to give you better hair after XYZ washes. Did anyone find this to be true?

Heck to the naw Bobby! They can claim whatever they want--that's what advertising is after all.

And the claims that your hair is better after so many washes comes with a disclaimer--usually in small print on their print ads and sometimes their packaging will say something like "when compared to using only shampoo" or "when compared to not using anything." I am paraphrasing it, but it's something like that.

Co-sign. Of all the products I've tried, no Pantene products rate in my top ten. They're not bad, but they have never been my holy grail product line after trying higher quality products (of a VARIETY of price points from the drugstore to the salon).

Ignore the commercials, if you want to try it and your hair likes it fine. Some people will swear by the product others will hate it.

The only way you will know if it is worth its price and commercial claims is when you try it for yourself. That extra washing thing though...I don't buy.

But who knows for some it may work. Maybe some of the hardcore Pantene users can come in and comment. Fortunately it is cheap enough you won't lose a lot of money for trying it.

No I am not a Pantene employee. :)
