Does anyone here use Panteen Products as staples? Are these products bad? I have loved them in the past and I like to use the moisture mask as a leave in. It just seems like no one ever talks about them.

They aren't apart of my staple anymore, but I used to use Panteen religiously. It made my hair very soft and manageable.

The Pantene R&N Breakage Defense Mask is one of my staples. I have to have it! I don't see this product as being bad though, aside from having cones, but my hair just loves it! I  it!!

I've found that Pantene products make the hair feel good while it's wet and when you rinse, but they don't really and truly moisturize the hair.

I did use them quite a bit in college, before I had the understanding that I now have about hair and products.

Many ladies on the board do seem to like them though.

i use to use pantene back in the day. the shampoo was very drying. the conditioners were just ok. i recently used the R&N mask a couple of times. Its just ok to me to.

Why did you change from using them and what do you use now?

I stopped using it b/c I wanted a change and b/c it left a lot of build up on my hair. Right now I'm using Organix coconut milk, VO5 moisture milks and Herbal Essences long term relationship.

I love the Pantene Relaxed and Natural line. I have never had any problems with it. The shampoo makes my hair feel soft and it detangles. The R&N mask moisturizes and strengthens my hair when I use it with a heating cap. I actually attribute my healthy hair growth to the use of this line.

I use the Breakage defense mask, but the shampoo was :nono:. I don't like it at all. The mask is the only Pantene staple for me.

What she said...

Today I purchased Pantene Midnight Expressions Conditioner & Pantene Nourishing Moisture Replenishing mask because both were free after rebate from rite with other coupons.

Pantene shampoo is drying for me, but I love their masks & I am over the moon for how the masks smell so good and how the smell stays in my hair. This will be my first time using the Expressions product which is supposed to help with color maintenance.

I like the breakage defense mask also. That would be one of my staples. The shampoo and conditioners I can take or leave, I just use them because I haven't switched to anything else yet.

I stopped using the Relaxed & Natural Breakage Defense shampoo and conditioner because of the sulfates in the shampoo and 'cones in the conditioner. Overall, my hair was soft, but I had dryness and breakage issues. I just stopped using the oil cream moisturizer because it wasn't working.

I don't use them normally. But just recently, I bought a small bottle of Pantene Beautiful Lengths conditioner because I wanted to experiment whether certain cones would help me at this length. I found that the conditioner made my hair easier to detangle. But I have no idea what the long term effects would be. I wouldn't use Pantene shampoo personally, but I imagine regular use of the conditioner might cause build up.

never used their RN line-i use the regular stuff--luv it--they do exactly what they say the are gonna do--
im 4A- thick head of hair so--im a fan of their moisture renewal shampoo and conditioner, beautiful lengths and sheer volume--
i use their clarifying shampoo and that intensive deep conditioner they have out now--i love pantenes line
i also use NTM and TGI bed head moisture maniac so i alternate btwn those --my hair is thick so it needs tons of moisture-- but pantene is a staple---because it works with my 4A hair and does exactly what it says on the bottle
i use to be CON girl but the change of the CON line has caused me to stray and thus far im good to go

i've never used anything from pantene but i am thinking of buying the r&n masque because i have been having major shedding and breakage this week. if aphogee shampoo and 2 minute conditioner coupled with shescentit fortifying hair mask and vatika oil dont help me i will buy it.

I thought I was the only one. I really want to like them, and will even buy them every couple of years to see if anything has changed if it's on sale. Not for me.

I use the relaxed and natural shampoo and conditioner regularly and have never had a problem. These are my primary shampoo and conditioners. I recently started using the mask and am in love with that too. Pantene does work for me.

Its in mine. Ive never had a problem with it, been using it since i was like 10/11 (now 25). I did stop using it for about 6 months and I hurried back at Xmas. Its a constant in my conditioning routine and i like the shampoo cos my hair is squeeky clean... :)
