Hi ladies...I just bought this and I was wondering how many of you use this product and if so, how? How do you like it? I did a search and Pumpkin said that Marvin recommended it as a daily moisturizer...to quote, she said it was "Da Bomb"...any info would help. Thanx!

I didn't because I couldn't remember the name of it until I saw this post. I will be picking it up tho and i'll let you know what I think.

I like it. However, I found it works best when I am close to relaxer time. It really helps to soften my roots. It tends to be drying so mixing it with either castor or jojoba oil and applying it to newgrowth works great. As of this week I stopped moisurizing my hair with oils or pomades just because they weigh down my hair. But come relaxer time I am whipping out the moisurizers.

What are humectants meant to do?

Retain moisture in the hair. Aveda also makes an Anti-humectant that repells moisture from the hair in humid/hot weather.

they attract moisture to the hair - and keep it in. Most of these products have glycerine as an ingredient.

I liked the aveda humectant pomade, but the smell was so strong (i am not a geranium lover) and it was too expensive - but all being said, i want to try the new aveda whip from the new light elements line.

yours

canuck
