Paging Janisloren re: Bodiphier!

Hi Janis!

I was reading what you said about the Bodiphier on another post and want to know if you can tell me more about it? Does it burn? Does your hair experience any breakage? Does it get straight? Sorry to overwhelm you but i guess you can see i want to make a switch that is healthier

...i did a Google search on it and found the site, but i would love to know your experiences...

hi nissi i have been using the bodiphier for over 2 years since i was pregnant with my second child i initialy started using it as i said because i bleach my hair and the bodphier was not as harsh i personally did not find it to be drying and this was using it while i was bleaching my hair which definitely dries your hair out i found while using it my hair grew very nicely even though i was coloring it i just made sure i deep conditioned it i still use it but you have to know that your hair when it dries naturally will not look straight but wavy .when you blow it or wrap or or roller wrap it will be straight the more you use it and the longer you leave on each application it will get straighter ,when i went back to a traditional relaxer cause i wanted a more immediate straighter look my mistake i am now starting from scratch any how hth if i can be of any help holla jb

It was very drying to my hair. I experienced no breakage and very little 'texturizing' from it. I find that a lye relaxer works much better.

i love mizani but i really wanna switch for the sake of self application and the hope of even less breakage and a less harsh formulation (ooh the burning!

) but like janisloren says, it looks like if i turn that corner, i may not be able go back!

sigh...

i have oily 3b/c hair so i don't worry too much about the dryness, but just in case imma wait it out and see if i can get more info...
