Hey girl!!! Thanks!

I've tried lots of different things...as you can see by all of the products that I have for sale...LOL.

I've found that the best things that work for me are natural. For shampoo and conditioner, I use Aubrey Organics Island stuff OR the Sea Buckthorn stuff. I also sometimes use Dr. Bronners Castille Soap as a shampoo usually b/c it works great, doesn't strip my hair, and is cheaper than AO.

I deep condition once a week, with a mixture of conditioner (AO), oil, and honey (and sometimes shea butter). I add AO GPB in the mix at least once a month. I also use a clarifying shampoo once a month...just a little though...very dilluted. For the oils, I alternate b/w coconut, almond, avocado, safflower, etc. I also add some alma and brahmi oils to the mix. These are indian oils that are supposed to be good for growth. They smell terrible enough to grow something...so far so good!

After I rinse the conditioner out...for my final rinse I do an ACV. I use 1/4 cup ACV and 2 qts. water (my old kool-aid pitcher). I just pour this over my hair and don't rinse out.

I have a leave-in mixture that I like to use that consists of 3 oz. water, 10 drops rosemary eo, and 10 drops tea tree eo. I spray this on my scalp daily...usually when I'm wearing twists or coils b/c it's easier. I haven't been doing this though since I discovered Surge. However, I'm contemplating putting the Surge down, since the growth results are almost scary. I don't think it's natural/normal, and I'm afraid that in a few years they'll say that the stuff causes something bad. So, I think I'm going to put throw that stuff out and stick with my natural stuff. I've only been doing it for a week, but writing this has just helped me decide to throw that stuff out and let nature take it's course...thanks! LOL...

When I twist, I use CD products. For the winter time, the Some of Marguerite's Magic is really moisturizing. It has a strong smell though, a pleasant one, but it is overpowering. However, the smell dies down and just leaves the moisture. I can rinse my hair daily (no manipulation) when I need to keep down the itchies, and my twists will still be moisturized. The stuff is amazing.

I also like to use Mimosa Hair Honey, and I just received the Healthy Hair Butter in the mail and am going to try it next time I twist.

For my "go fro" I like to use CD products as well. The hair milk and the Ecstasy Jelly OR the Mimosa Hair Honey work well together. I didn't like the Hair Balm at first b/c it just gave my hair a grease look and sat on top of it. However, I've found that applying it before bed really works well.

Oh, and I trim according to the Morrocco Method lunar schedule at www.morroccomethod.com. It's not based on astrology, as far as I can tell, so that's the schedule I use b/c I'm not into all that astrology stuff...but I do know that the moon has some scientific effects.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much Delightful

As a newly napptural I'm trying to figure out what will work the best for my hair, so this has really helped me.

Hi Ms. K I just saw the post about your big chop. Congrats and welcome to the club.

Thanks DF for the explanation of your routine. I need to get back into my ACV herbal rinses. I also have found that AO and home made products work best for me. I have some Surge. But I don't like the sudsing effect that it has. I plan will finish my bottle and then whip up something in my kitchen to take its place.
