Hey girl. I recently joined the forum and saw that you have used John Frieda's Wave solution. I bought some months ago and finally got up the never to use it. My hair had waves but it looked a little frizzy. After spending 30mins. trying to decide if I was going to were it out to work. I decided against it. It looked good in some places but horrible in others (frizz). My hair was also extremely dry. Please tell me step by step what you did to make your hair turn out so good. Thanks in advance.

Hi!!! Well the product is only good for 2 days. 3 max. Then I have to wash it out.

After washing/conditioning the hair. I squeeze out the excess water and put Kiehls Silk Groom all over the hair from root to tip. If I don't use this first I get frizzies.

Then I spritz the JF Ripple Effect (is this the one you mean?) all over and scrunch the hair as I go. I usually do this when I know I'll be outdoors so the hair dries fast in the sun. As the hair is drying I still scrunch handfuls of it to encourage the waves.

At night I pile hair onto head crown with a soft scrunchy and tie a satin scarf. In the morning I re wet the hair a bit and put a bit more RE in the hair.

Hope this helps!

I have the Ripple Effect and the same exact thing happened when I tried it. And that was even with the Kiehl's, so I wouldn't waste my money running out to get it, if I were you...

This style tends to look okay as long as your hair is a little damp, once it dries fully,

I may try one more time with this stuff this summer; after that I'm throwing it out!!!

Actually though, I will say that if your hair is long, and all one length, you may get good results. My hair is different lengths; the back is long, but the front and sides are shorter, so it just doesn't look right!!

I've used the stuff. I got waves and curls, but super frizzies. It looked good when damp, but as it dried, my hair got bigger...and bigger...and bigger...

I can copy this style with any product, honestly. I just have to make sure I scrunch my hair when it's damp to make it wavy. That's why there's no need for me to use it anymore. Plus, my old stylist said that it was "fighting my perm." Because after using the RE, my hair would curl up when it was wet, and it didn't do that before I used the stuff. It made her pretty annoyed, particularly when she was trying to wet set it. But that was last year, and my hair doesn't curl so easily anymore. It takes a bunch of scrunching, and generally, that only produces waves.

Thanks for the feedback everyone:) I think I'll try it one more time after purchasing Kiehl's Silk Groom. I tell you this forum is great! I'm lovin the quick feedback.
