Paging Braid Wearers!

What is your average amount of growth when u wear braids for 2-3 months at a time? Just curious b/c right now I 'm noticing about 2 inches and its about time to take them out.

Only lately I've started wearing braids often. I don't know my average growth but the most growth I got in a 3 month period with braids was 5 inches.

OK.... I wear cornrows 5-6 weeks at a time and I usually receive 1 inch to 1 1/2. Now this time around I've added some more biotin, bought some better hair vitamins and I've started to wah my hair 2x a week. So we'll see. I think that braids are A wonderful way to promote growth and plus it gives your hair a big rest. It might be a few years until I go back to relaxers. I'm trying very hard to reach my gola of bra-strap 4b hair.

boy do i wish my hair grew as fast as some of the ladies here claim!! unfortunatly mine olny grows half an inch a month at most! hopefully this summer i'll experine more growth than that

me too, ngaa! i've never, ever gotten close to 1" per month. when i wore braids, i'd wear them for 3 months at a time. i probably gained 1½" in that time... nothing to jump up and down about. that's why my focus has been and continues to be on keeping what i do get.

I've had my individuals in for 6 weeks now and I have a little over an inch of new growth.

I've been wearing my braids for about 6 or 7 weeks and I have 1-1/2 inches of new growth. The only problem is that I haven't been consistent with taking my vitamins, so I'm not sure of how much growth I could really accumulate within a month or so.
