what are you going to do to speed up your growth? post your regime. what will be the most important part of the regimine?

Here is mine:
Condition wash with Suave Tropical Cocoanut
Deep Condition with Proclaim Cholesterol, olive oil & shea butter...
Leave In conditioner Infusium with Rosemary Oil added
Followed by Spritz of Surge (this is new to my regimine)
Until I get 4 more inches - do the bantu knot twist out with shea butter to hold the twist and protect my ends...
Trim 4 times a year.

I take 1500 mgs of MSM
GNC Megawoman Vitamin with No Iron.
Atkins Diet (no red meat though)
Exercise (at least) 3 days per week
1 Gallon of water a day.

Did anybody say when we are starting?

haha...

hear ye hear ye....here's the original poster.

we were supposed to start on dec. 4th i believe. just start today.

as far as my regimen? the only consistent things i plan on doing are:

-taking multi vitamin and biotin daily
-only washing hair when needed
-try and leave my hair alone for the most part

trim about every 2 months to keep my ends healthy...i think

kb

not sure, yet, Im getting braids on tues so haven't really decided on what I'm going to do , except for drink alot of water and take vitamins

I plan to be consistant with taking my aminos, biotin, and MSM.
I will poo and condition weekly; deep condition twice a month,
trim twice in 2004,
and definitly vaseline bun regularly especially b4 bed.. oh and massage at least a couple minutes a day

I got rid of my birth controll pills. Since it is said they deplete the b vitamins and b vitamins are essentially for growth.

I think that exercise and overall diet is essential for creating the environment for growth. Plus I've been trying to get rid of my belly for over a year

. I plan on exercising at least 4x a week (crossing my fingers hoping I can do it). I will continue to eat healthy and consume a fair amount of protein.

I have a lot of vitamins and I plan to at least take everything until it's all gone, but I will be most consistent with MSM, biotin, inositol, b complex and an EFA.

I will wash at least a week sometimes more.

I'll continue to keep my hair braided as that works best for my busy schedule.

I will continue to use Surge.

So far I've been taking my vitamins and surging every other day. The only exercise that I have gotten is from walking though. I have been just too tired to get up at 4am and too tired to think about exercising at 9pm.

This is what I already do:

Vits: Biotin, MSM, Amino Acid Complex, Vitamin C, Digestive enzymes, Multi Vit Plenty of Water, Daily washing

What I will add or change: Change multivit to hair skin and nails vit(they have the same ingredients and then some) Excercise more often, start massaging scalp, pick up on protein intake, maybe even add a protein shake.

I am going to take my vitamins faithfully. I have been slacking. Try to wear my hair in twists for 2 weeks at a time. I like to change styles alot, so that may not happen. I will keep my scalp clean. I usually conditioner wash 5 days per week, and use shampoo 2 days/week, but recently I have been slacking because of finals. My scalp has started to flake, and now I know I need to get back to washing more. I need to do more deep conditoning, and a protein treatment every now and again. I also want to grow in my thin spots with massages.

My routine will stay the same but I will increase my MSM intake and perhaps increase my biotin to 15000mcg (3 5000mcg vitamins) a day

I have already increased my biotin intake to 4000 mg a day. I am still working on my regime. I think that having braids during part of the year will help with the growth and with stretching out my relaxer but as always I fear for my edges.

Im going to make my goal 12 inches, but I'm changing it to by January, because I want to get my hair trimmed and start fresh. I want all of the split ends gone before I start so that I don't have to worry about them.I'm getting it trimmed sometime after Christmas.

I have trimed my hair and will continue with my daily CO washes. I have increased my biotin to 8000mg & MSM to 3000mg per day. Drinking 8 glasses of water per day and trying to incorporate more fish in my diet. I am 8 weeks post touch up. Currently using Nexxus Therappe Shampoo every other week. Daily CO washes with Nexxus Humectress or Pantene Sleek and Smooth. Nexxus Emergencee once a month. I just started to use surge and WGO. I use the surge on a broke spot in my scalp and WGO on my ends.

I plan to get my hair braided Jan 1 2004 and keep it until March 1, 2004 I'm going to take it down deep condition and put it back up until May 1 deep condition with aphoghee and put it back up!! you get the picture every two months all the way until Jan 1 2005 meanwhile I'm surging every night and everytime I braid I'm going to put a ton of vaseline on my ends. I also will con wash every week and take my vitamins which I may revise at a later date.

I think of my 2004 plan in challenges:

Vitamin challenge: I still haven't refined it yet, but I am thinking of using GNC HSN, B-complex, Amino acid-complex, SS Cod liver oil w/evening primrose, & chlorella...phew.

Hydrochallenge: going for 64 oz a day

Scalp massage challenge: at least 5 minutes every day

Protein challenge: 100+ grams daily (including protein shakes, chicken and more stuff like sardines and tuna as opposed to red meat)

As far as how I'll be treating my hair directly: I plan to alternate protective styles (buns, braids), use less heat (I plan to straighten no more than 3 times for the year), and just overall TLC!
