To me, under processed hair is when your relaxer doesn't get your hair to the desired straightness that you were trying to achieve. For example: I used to use Revlon lye regular and I kept it in for the recommended time (can't remember how long it was), but when I washed my hair out, I still had a definite wave pattern. I was going for bone straight hair. Some people use this method to texturize their hair. Instead of leaving the relaxer in for the specified time, they leave it in for a shorter amount which just loosens the pattern a little.

I'm not sure what over processed hair is. I believe it's when you have applied chemicals to your hair so much, that your hair is breaking and in bad condition.

Ladylynn thanks SO much!

I have severly underprocessed hair. All the blond hair in my fotki is supposedly relaxed. Over processed will be reall frizzy whil undersprocessed will still have a prminent wave pettern. Let me see if I can post it....

The hair at the bottom is relaxed bone straight, the blond hair in the middle is underprocessed ant the dark hair at the top is natural. I dont have a pic of over processed but as you can see there is a significant amount of texture left in the middle versus the ends.
