Ladies I was wondering if you conditioner wash everyday then deep condition on the weekend will that produce overconditioned hair?

For me it doesn't over condition. I am natural and cw everyday. I shampoo once a month and do a protein treatment. What my hair doesn't do well with is too much protein. Leave on treatments have to diluted in water. I think it just depends on you hair.

Thanks benosayi for your answer to my question. Is there any other ladies out there that have another take on it?

I don't think you can overcondition black hair. Since it loses mosture easily. I used daily conditioner washings for abou a month to get the moisture level up in my hair, and I deep condition every week with heat. I skipped one week in July, and my hair was not the same. I also use s-curl daily for moisture. My hair is consistently soft.

What she said.
I'd just like to add, that the only thing you want to use with caution is protein and reconstructors. You can definitely cause damage if you overuse either.
