i use it as a light protein treatment, not as a scalp treatment, so as far as growth, it didn't help at all. i saw a lot of growth from megatek for a spot i was trying to grow back.

I really never got into the whole craze but I think it was being used for hair growth. I am not sure about the protein thing.

IT'S THE BOMB! It's a protein treatment so you must follow up with a moisturizing conditioner. Sometimes I didn't rinse it out for a few days. I got great growth. I also plan on gifting myself an Ovation kit for xmas.

From all the research I've done it's the exact same thing as Megatek, the only difference is it's marketed towards humans and MT is marketed towards horses. However, both products are made by the same company and contain the same ingredients. MT, though, costs much less than Ovation. That being said, I purchased a bottle of MT and have been using it consistently for 2 weeks as a nightly scalp massage treatment and a weekly DC treatment, followed by a moisturizing DC to combat dryness from excessive protein. My results? I have seen hardly any breakage at all, literally 2 small broken hairs here and there, whereas before I was breaking like crazy. So it definately helps with retention. And for growth I swear it's grown 1/2" in 2 weeks! My hair normally grows that much in a month! So I'm a believer and will continue using. Hmmm..I just ordered some cell ovation too...I've heard good things about this, so when I use it, I'll have to return and give results. I've read good reviews on African American hair too!
